 60 Second Interview

Q - Why Did you start Aikido?
A-
Because the Karate class (Suzuki sensei, temple karate, Digbeth, Birmingham was closed that night ,so we went to the Birmingham Athletic Institute and enrolled on a karate/aikido class ( a clever advertising ploy because there was no karate)

Q - Memories of your first lesson?
A -
The very graceful and flexible movements of the assistant instructor a Mr. David Savior who was Mr. Reynolds uke. And the friendly atmosphere at the club.

Q- Favourite Technique?
A - Too many to mention

Q - Least favourite Technique?
A - The ones that involve too many unnecessary movements

Q - Favourite Summer School and Why
A -
Probably the one when we did not have a visiting shihan, because it proved what Chiba sensei had said , that the U.K.A. was big enough to stand on its own two feet, but basically all the summer schools I have attended have their own (best bits)
