Developments in UKA Communications
Dear
Member,
Over
the last few months there have been exciting changes in the way the
UKA communicates to its members. The development has been within the
website and the level of email communication which is now made.
Following
this edition on the Newsletter the following changes will take place:
the Newsletter and its content will only be mailed out to those
members who request it. This change has come about due to increasing
costs and a recognition of the environmental impact of printing. A
form has been included in within this edition. If you want to receive
a Newsletter via the post then please fill in the form and return it
to the stated address. If not, then please reuse / recycle the form!
At
present we have some 300 people receiving postal newsletters
1
tree makes 16.67 reams of copy paper or 8,333.3 sheets
If
an additional 300 people are collecting over the web (and not printing
it out!), that's saving about 1/5th of a tree per edition.
This
may not seem a lot, but as an organisation we can help to reduce
unnecessary usage of resource and reduce our own carbon footprint. If
you are an instructor or club official, please ensure that current and
future members are made aware that they can collect the Newsletter
online and that they should send their email and details:
distribution@ukaonline.org.uk
Thank
you,
UKA Communications Team

Change of Details - All Members please read
If you are a UKA member and change
your postal address, then you must inform the
General Secretary of this so to conform with the data protection
act. Also, if you change your email address, then please let the
Webmaster know of this, else you will not receive your Newsletter
Alters.
