Accessing the UKA
Below is information on accessing the UKA for
individuals and organisations.
|
How to access the UKA for new
students |
| |
|
Despite the best efforts of
the BAB aikido teaching is very often
unregulated with dojos being run by
inexperienced teachers with self appointed
grades in organisation that have no lineage
or depth. After many years of training the
unwary student could be awarded a black belt
that is of no value in the wider aikido
world.
If a UKA dojo is not in the
local area, the BAF and BA are the best
alternative. Like the UKA both award
internationally recognised grades and offer
a first class teaching structure.

As well s welcoming new
students to aikido the uKa also offer a
clear and welcoming policy to practicing
aikidoka who could looking for a new
dojo. The student would not be required to
surrender their existing grade, although
they would have the option to retake that
grade when a suitable balance has been
attained within the UKA syllabus Hombu Dojo
regulations dictate that all Yudansha are
registered at Shodan.
The House Shidoin will assist
in the transient period to achieve
international recognition in every way
possible once a degree of commitment and
dedication are demonstrated. |
